Treating Urinal Odors and Slow Running Drains
Restroom urinal odors are a serious problem for schools, healthcare facilities, restaurants, housekeeping and for maintenance managers in general. Often, urinal drains with uric acid buildup are the source of these odors. Uric Acid buildup can slow down or block your drains.
Crete has been formulated for industrial and commercial applications specifically for the treatment of urinals. Crete treats the source of the problem and provides a solution for ongoing maintenance avoiding the chance of recurring odors. With regular applications, you can avoid expensive plumbing repairs to your drains.
Urinal Cakes or Urinal Blocks are ok to use but only mask the odor. They do not solve the problem. With the correct Crete maintenance program in effect, snaking or removing a urinal from the wall should be a rare occurrence. 
How does a Urinal Descaler work?
When bodily wastes like urine leave the body, it immediately reacts with oxygen and breaks down. Sitting urine interacts with the uric acid naturally contained in it, changing the chemical structure into ammonia. This ammonia is highly alkaline eventually forming into crystals that are hard to remove with conventional cleaners. This scale adheres to toilet bowls and the urinal drainpipe, especially in the "p-trap".

How to Use

Regular Maintenance Dosage:
Use daily to remove long-term build-up in high traffic installations.
Use weekly, for 12 weeks, as preventative maintenance for areas of average usage.
For Initial Treatment:
- Pour 16oz of Crete into the trap of the urinal.
- Allow to work overnight or for as long as possible.
- Tape a bag over the urinal during business hours to make sure nobody uses it
- Flush it in the morning a few times.
- The drain should be restored to its original diameter with most odor-causing scale removed.

I have been using this for a while. I take care of plumbing systems in hospitals. I can tell you this makes my job a lot easier to keep things up and running. I just pour and leave it overnight after putting up a sign on the urinal. As much as I miss bringing out the snake this is much better.

A: For preventative maintenance:

To break down bad calcium build-up:
Use one 16 oz bottle per urinal and leave in overnight. Apply once per day until urinal is running smoothly.
Q: How long will it take to get the urinal drain back running smoothly for the first time of treatment?
A: Usually, if you use an entire 16 oz bottle in a urinal and leave it overnight, it should be running smoothly the next day.

Step 1
Pour 16 oz of Crete into the urinal. Crete will sit in the urinal “p-trap” slowly dissolving all forms of scale. Scale is the typical cause of slow running and foul-smelling urinals.
Step 2
Allow Crete to work overnight in the urinal. You may want to cover the urinal to avoid use during this time.
Step 3
When morning comes, flush the urinal a couple times. The urinal drain should now be in working order with its original diameter restored. Most, if not all, of the odor-causing scale should now be gone!
In some stubborn cases, you may need to repeat the process until the issue is resolved.
Q: How do you clear a blocked urinal?
A: First, use Broshot to liquifying everything, in case of having obstructions from organic matters like toilet paper, cigarette butts, tampons, and hair. Let it sit 10 to 15 mins at most, and wash down with sufficient water. It should clear any obstruction within that time frame.
