Great idea, not always effective

The idea behind this product is brilliant: reach and maintain contact with areas inside the drain that the regular flow does not reach. This foam expands to fill the whole volume, beyond where water can carry a de-clogging solution. In practice though, the composition of this foam does not seem as effective as other chemical clog removers. I would say, this is great for finishing a de-clogging job and ensuring no narrowing of the passage impedes the water flow. For the heavy-lifting in de-clogging, this doesn't seem anywhere near the effectiveness of the ones I know to be working. Also, for drains with stoppers it is difficult to deploy this, the opening of the drain may be too narrow around the stopper lever.

Good for light clogs

I've tried a lot of products and this one seemed to work for now. easy to use and convenient to keep in the garage or under the sink. If your issue persists then something else might be the problem. Good for light clogs in the tub or sink.

Only for certain situations

Just 3 stars for me on this product. It's good, but the hose it came with doesn't fit my bathtub drain or my sink. It does fit my kitchen sink drain though, and it's quite effective. Just a ding for slightly limited usage - this won't be a replacement for draino for the bathtub if you can't completely remove the cover and snake the hose all the way in.
